The world of library technology is constantly changing. Reading about those changes is good, but hearing how your colleagues are using new technology is better. Take advantage of this chance to ask questions and learn from others during the IOLUG Spring Program. Howard Rosenbaum of IU SLIS will give us an overview of new trends in the library world. The remainder of the day will include fellow librarians from Indiana covering a wide variety of topics. There is sure to be something to quench everyone’s thirst for more information.

Here's the workshop "menu":

David Kaunelis (ISU): Collaborative Workstations — Draw students back to the library by creating areas for groups to work together.
Kevin Petsche (IUPUI): Linking Options — How can we link from one electronic resource to another?
Larry Baerveldt (PALNI/INCOLSA): Federated Searching — Can we really find books, articles and websites on one topic all in one search?
Sally Neal (IUPUI): "Turn It In" — What is this controversial new program for detecting plagiarism?
Michael Stephens (SJCPL): Blogging and RSS — What is blogging anyway? And how can blogging help me be a better librarian? Learn how to use RSS (Rich Site Summary) to keep your website current.

Presentations are now available as either web pages or Powerpoint slideshows. You may need to right-click and 'Save Target as...' to download.
