Let's Get Digital |
Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library
1120 Stafford Road
Plainfield, Indiana 46168
Have you thought about digitizing a special collection and wondered where to start? Perhaps you are already digitizing and would like to know what issues are involved in collaborating with another organization. Do you have questions about metadata or copyright issues for your digitized collection? The Fall Program of IOLUG is where these questions and more will be answered. Our keynote speaker is well known for her expertise in digitization. Liz Bishoff, Executive Director of the Colorado Digitization Project, will address such issues as audience, scanning, funding, access, collaboration, and metadata. Kris Brancolini, Director of the IU Digital Library, will present a workshop on digitizing a special collection and share her experiences. In addition, INCOLSA will announce initiatives they have planned for supporting digitization around the state and our host library will show us an example of collaboration between a public library and a high school library. Mark your calendar now and plan to attend this informative program.
